Accessing Unix mail with pine

pine is a very user-friendly text-based menu-driven mail handler, so it can be used in a telnet or ssh session. Simply start pine from the shell prompt, and follow the instructions in the menus.

pine is also compatible with OpenWebmail, described in the next section, so you can use pine when your only connection is text-based, and OpenWebmail when you have web access.
