Currently I enjoy working on Python and Twisted and here is a simple HTTP proxy server written using the Twisted networking framework. In addition, I have an interest in open source linux virtualization and in particular scheduler tuning as it relates to virtual machine performance.
I have an academic and professional background in computer security, secrecy systems, and cryptography. I am interested in topics such as securing linux kernels and symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic techniques. I have compiled a list of some common OpenSSL commands, as well as some basic techniques to secure linux kernels and a primer on securing an apache 2.X installation.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors with my partner and crazy dog Scrumpy. I am an editor for the Open Directory Project and help maintain the directory's Cryptography category as well as a small regional locality. I enjoy travelling and here are some pictures from a recent trip to the cities of Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan.
