 Text:  CGI Programming 101, by Jacqueline D. Hamilton (ISBN 0-9669426-0-4)
    Programming Perl, by Larry Wall, Tom Christiansen & Randal L. Schwartz (O'Reilly, ISBN 1-56592-149-6)

Course Outline: We will cover techniques of CGI programming for the World-Wide-Web, using the Perl programming language. Among other topics, we will see how to create and use fill-in forms, how to tailor page content to a user's preferences, how to place and use cookies, and how to interact with a database on the web server. More advanced topics in Internet programming will be covered if time permits.


Protocol: Grade will be based on homework exercises (50%), a midterm exam (20%) and a final exam (30%).
