Accessing Unix mail with OpenWebmail

OpenWebmail is a web interface to Unix mail. It is compatible with pine folders, so the two can be used interchangeably. To access your mail with OpenWebmail, start a web browser on any internet-connected computer. Users with accounts on storm visit the URL
http://storm.cis.fordham.edu/mail.html
Users with accounts on erdos visit the URL
http://www.dsm.fordham.edu/mail.html
(The first time you visit this URL, you will be asked to accept a security certificate from the site. This is because OpenWebmail uses a secure connection to prevent your mail session from being snooped. Your proper response is to accept the certificate permanently, answering ``yes'' to all questions in this dialog.) Enter your Unix username and password in the login box to access your mail.

The OpenWebmail interface is quite user-friendly. You can click on the OpenWebmail link at the bottom of the page to go to a site that provides documentation and help. Here is a link to that site.
